Candlelit Sangeet
An evening of song, dance, and candlelight that brought two families together before the wedding day.

The event
A pre-wedding Sangeet reimagined as a warm, intimate evening rather than a loud, rushed production. Tamayra orchestrated every moment from the first Ganesh Vandana to the final choreographed number, weaving family traditions with polished stage design. The floral palette moved from warm marigold tones during the ceremonial opening to soft blush and ivory as the night shifted into dance-floor energy. Live musicians were staggered across the evening — a classical vocalist for the rituals, a DJ for the performances, and a percussion circle that pulled even the shyest uncle onto the floor.

The Tamayra approach
For this Sangeet, Tamayra focused on guest flow above all else. We designed a staggered arrival — cocktails on the terrace while the ceremony space was reset for performances. The stage was positioned so that every seat had a clear view, and the lighting plot shifted imperceptibly from bright and welcoming during dinner to intimate and dramatic during the couple's choreographed number. We coordinated with the choreographer, the live band, and the family members performing group acts, running dress rehearsals in the afternoon so the evening felt seamless.
