A 30th birthday reimagined as a neon-lit nightclub experience in a raw Bangalore warehouse. Tamayra transformed the space with UV-reactive murals, glowing acrylic furniture, and a suspended canopy of blacklight tubes that bathed the entire room in electric pink and blue. Guests walked through a custom neon sign arch that read the birthday guest's name, then picked up glow-in-the-dark cocktails from a bar built inside a decommissioned shipping container. The dessert station became the night's centrepiece: a live calligrapher piping buttercream messages onto doughnuts under a ring of neon light.

Themed birthdays are about world-building within a single evening. Tamayra's approach starts with the guest of honour's personality, not a decor catalogue. For this birthday, the brief was 'a nightclub but warmer' — so we kept the high-energy visual language of a club (neon, blacklight, loud colours) but added lounge seating clusters, a quieter courtyard for conversation, and a late-night food station serving comfort food rather than canapés. The night was sequenced like a concert: an opening hour of high-energy music and dancing, a middle stretch of dinner and speeches under dimmer lighting, and a final act that brought the energy back up for the last hour. Every guest left with a custom tote bag and a Polaroid strip from the photo wall — tangible memories that extended the experience beyond the night itself.
